Welcome to My Practice

Welcome

Welcome to Jessica Fromuth Acupuncture in Yarmouth Maine.  I’m so glad you are here.  In my practice I help men and women every day with a wide range of health issues from back pain and anxiety to peripheral neuropathy and chronic sinusitis.  (See Conditions Treated)  I have a lovely office right on Main St. in Yarmouth.  I see only one patient at a time so the hour you book is dedicated to your treatment alone.  I offer a free consultation over the phone or in person.  So if you have any questions about what I do I would be happy to talk.  And if you have never had acupuncture before, you should definitely call.  I love to answer questions for folks who are new to the work.  One of my goals as an acupuncturist is to help educate people about what it can do for them, because the work has such huge potential to relieve suffering and improve quality of life.  I want everyone to benefit from it!

My Story

I have always been fascinated by the human body and I have always loved teaching.  I have been a dancer all my life starting with ballet as a kid.  I got into modern dance in college and went on to pursue my MFA.  I became a massage therapist in 1994 as a way to support myself while I was dancing professionally in the DC area.  After finishing massage school I taught anatomy and physiology for 5 years to massage therapy students and at community college.  In the meantime I began studying Iyengar Yoga and have done that for about 20 years.

Then I received my first acupuncture treatment to help with getting pregnant and I was so fascinated that I went to the local school to check it out.  After that first visit to Tai Sophia I knew that this is what I wanted to do.  I was so drawn into the theories of Chinese medicine because they so beautifully tie together all aspects of what it means to be human.  Chinese medicine is both a practice for achieving health and a philosophy of life.  I have been honored and privileged to study and practice this work ever since.  I am grateful for the opportunity to help patients get through the struggles that life presents and to come out better on the other side.
